Things that Successfully Irritate Me!!

Today was one of those day's where I should not have allowed things to irritate me but they did anyways, so here you go: 1) Why does every guy at the gym have to be a "tough guy?" Looking in the mirror and admiring your arms after doing one 20 lbs curl is not going to get you results dude....Sweat, hard work, and dedication will get you results...so go home and look at yourself in mirror there and get out of my way! (said in a nice way of course) That goes for personal trainer's with absolutely no social skills too, looking down at us chubby folk who have jobs, kids, and lives and body fat hindering us from spending all day on a stair master, crack a smile or something! 2) Speaking of gym irritations, why does the locker room have to stink all the time? Do people not wear deodorant if they know they are going to workout? I sweat like a  dog/cat in a Chinese  restaurant but I don't smell like that.  Also, not a big deal but ...

The secret to my SUCCESS (issue # 3) Investing the money I waste!

Image
Most of my weekends off are spent shopping for the week and spending money and time I don't have to waste. I have a system that I usually abide by that I think is successful. That is not purchasing anything without a coupon and always buying things on clearance when you can(I picked up socks on the clearance end cap this weekend for 3 dollars cheaper than the same exact pair on the rack). I tend to do most of my shopping at Target because I have a debit, not credit, card that gets me 5% off and comparably, 80 % of the items are cheaper(depending). If I need useless junk I go to Wal-mart, car items, soap, and some other things are always going to be cheaper. As for groceries though, Target wins. The target brand items are even really tasty compared to the things Wal-mart has. I NEVER buy fresh food at Wal-mart, it's a bad idea! Now if you don't believe me then I will gladly challenge you. Target has their own store coupons that can be doubled with the manufacture...

The Secret to Successfully Overcoming an Obstacle!

Image
When does perseverance become motivation? When you think you have hit the bottom and need to find a way to get back up what do you reach for? Is it possible to hit an obstacle that can't be breached? Is there always a way to succeed?     How do you define success then? I define success by simply knowing that the only person who can tell me how and what I need to be is me. Only I can decide what my goals are and how or what method I am going to use to reach them. I never use to look at things as an obstacle that could simply be beaten. I used them as excuses and a reason for what I had become and for why I was "that way." I allowed others to have more input on my life than I did on what my goals should be and how I should live. It took some pain and suffering to come to the conclusion that if I want it, I need to set my eyes on it and do my best to grasp it. I decided that no obstacle was too big to overcome, even though it may not be the p...

Disclaimer: I wing most of my recipes and come up with some off the wall items so don't blame me if you don't like it, just move on people!      I suffered through a grueling week of eating great every two hours and passing on soda, junk food, and everything in between...I even passed on Gourmet cupcakes at an office party....what a shame!    But hopefully it is all worth it for these lovely pancakes I will indulge in tomorrow morning. Drawing a Line in the Sand.

How do YOU define Courage? The Dictionary defines it as : the   quality   of   mind   or   spirit   that   enables   a   person   to   face difficulty,   danger,   pain,   etc.,   without   fear ;   bravery. Several quotes come to mind when I think of these words. John Wayne said “courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway.” And in John 15:13 says “No one has greater love than this, that someone would lay down his life   for his friends .” On June 6, 1944 a group of men just out of high school and college defined a Generation and set into action events that would ultimately redefine Courage and Bravery. In a span of not more that 200 yards over 130,000 men fought their way through a hell fire of bullets, mines, and artillery shells. They landed on the beaches of Normandy, and jumped from airplanes into the French countryside. It’s hard to imagine and put into perspective these...

The Secret to a Successful stuffed mushroom!

I walked into my work break room today saw some amateur on TV trying to make roasted mushrooms....Yeah, well mine are better. Ingredients: 1 pack of whole mushrooms 1 8oz cream cheese(whipped) 1/2 tsp of garlic 1/2 tsp of Italian seasoning and sun dried tomato 2 slices of bacon cooked and chopped 8 oz of Parmesan cheese 2 eggs blended 1 box of Panko breadcrumbs 1/2 cup of olive oil     Simple: get a pack of whole mushroom, rinse and rip the stems off. Next get a tub of whipped cream cheese, mix the whipped cream cheese with a table teaspoon of garlic, salt, pepper, and some sun dried tomato seasoning or Italian seasoning or try some roasted red pepper seasoning. Mix in some real Parmesan(not the canned stuff!) and the chopped bacon. Stuff the inside of the mushroom with the cream cheese mix. Then roll them in a little blended egg to coat and then the key is to use Panko, cover it in t...
