The secret to a Successful Pulled Pork Chili!!!

Ingredients: 1 large pork butt roast(4 lbs or so) or pork shoulder 1 can black beans drained and rinsed 1 can red kidney beans drained and rinsed 1 can fire roasted tomatoes drained 1 can rotel drained 4 cans tomato sauce 1 onion chopped 6-8 sliced of bacon cooked and chopped 8 oz water 1  can corn drained Two Carroll Shelby's chili kits(2lbs per kit) Get a large crock pot and put your pork in on low heat for about 8 hours, high heat 4 hours, low is better....just let it cook over night or all day. I like to season it with a little liquid smoke and some BBQ seasoning rub. You will know it is down when you try to pull it out and it just falls apart on you. Once you "pull it" completely apart in the crock pot let it rest in the juice for about ten minutes no heat. After that pull the meat out into a bowl or pan and drain the juices. Add the meat back to the crock pot and then combine all the ingredients and let it cook for about 1 & 1/2 to 2 hours on l

Arguable the worlds best grilled cheese!

How could something so simple be such a delightful meal? I enjoy a masterful grilled cheese every now and then but i like to make it a little more "artisan." Ingredients Two pieces of quality bread like bakery sourdough or Pepperidge farm hearty multi grain 4 tbsp spoon whipped butter or sweet cream butter unsalted 2 slices provolone 2 slices american 2 slices cheddar or colby jack or whatever the cheese you like, the more the better!!! KEY: First melt the butter completely in the pan and then let the bread lay on top and soak it in until it becomes toasty on that side. if the butter turns brown your pan is too hot. Then flip the bread and lay the cheese on and let it melt, then combine the to pieces and let the sandwich form into a gooey cheesy mess!!! "so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:11

The secret to my SUCCESS (issue # 4) Surviving a fancy hotel on a budget

Image
Time to time I need to travel to a "foreign land" and I get stuck in what seems to be a fancy hotel with no perks. Hotels are funny because the more the room the less you get....What's up with that? I guess they figure the monopoly guy doesn't need to live off a budget. Anyways, I got bills and this is how I survive the big city on budget and without the perks: 1. No free breakfast? pack your lunch. A good breakfast doesn't always need to be hot and you can normally live off a Clif bar or Nutrigrain bar. Packing fresh fruit is always a good idea too. I like pre-packed tuna fish, cheap and easy on the go! 2. Self serve packages come in real handy anytime, but especially when you have a fridge the size of a walnut. So in a nut shell, grab some extra packages of mayo when you can. Same goes for grabbing plastic ware when you can. it's not stealing, so relax. 3. Bored? no free internet? don't want to watch a 15 dollar movie? read a book!!! or peop

The Secret to Successfully Forgiving!

Life has what's called curve balls.... Never heard that one right? What do we do when we are put into a position that allows our emotions to take control and let our anger lash out? Most of the time it comes from the pain inflicted by someone else, or the feeling that we have been wronged in some way. I can't stand when people push me to the point that I feel as though I need to inflict some sort of retaliation on them to get even. How can revenge be justified when all it does is make the situation more volatile and awkward?      Letting anger and unnatural motives determine how you will react to someone is no way to handle any situation. Why create more chaos just to prove a point or inflict some kind of physical or emotional pain to get even. Will it really fix the problem? I harbor anger and pain more than most people I've ever met. I also inflict pain quite a bit and seem to find myself making situations worse by lashing out with my anger instead me using my hear
