Christmas Morning...

Well it's about 5 am and I have no other reason to be up besides the fact that I am overwhelmed with Joy!



     It hasn't felt like Christmas all year until just now when I looked at the tree and thought of how much fun my kids will have today. I am so thankful we have such a loving God who sent his Son to be the greatest gift ever and I'm even more thankful that I know him! There is also sadness in my heart because I wish everyone had the same feeling I have at this moment. I pray for peace for every lonely child or parent today. I pray for the homeless and the sick and all of those who will be filled with sadness this morning. I pray for those who have gifts under the tree that will never be opened and those who have no gifts at all. I pray for those who will be abused and neglected, and those who will be hurt rather than loved. I pray those who will choose the bottle or drugs to get through this day. I pray those in places where Christmas = death if celebrated.But most of all I pray for those who's heart is lost and have no idea who Jesus is or those who do but choose to deny him and the awesome power of his LOVE for us!!!

Yes I know it's been awhile since I have posted a cheat day. With the way life has been going lately I guess I have just gotten side tracked.      Yesterday me and my girls ventured to a lovely local bakery(Paul's) and got some Donuts. I love a good donut, and I love a good danish. I and not a big fan of Krispy Kreme or DD though. Where I come from the best donuts are the mom and pop fried and glazed donuts. I love a good ole' fashioned fried donut that does not come off some assembly line. I highly suggest that one day you venture out and do the same and hit up your favorite local donut shop!! I promise to get back on track the best I can this week enjoy the lovely weekend!!! A little Humble pie anyone???

I had the recent experience of getting to work on a show that was produced by a local ministry. The event was quite a large one and had multiple facilities and big names. Now if you don’t know what I do for a living that is fine, but during an event like this I do the setups and a lot of backstage and behind the scenes.  Now for my own personal lifestyle choices I will have to say I didn’t expect to see the things I did on this event. I’ve always been scared of big churches and large events that use God as the vehicle. You can’t always trust the motives of those behind them and although I think a lot of the information being put out was good, I got to see sides of people I didn’t expect. The almighty dollar always seems to reign supreme to even the most spiritual.  Religion has a bad rap nowadays and there is usually a huge “BOO!!!” when all you hear are churches asking for money, etc. Then for many to see an event like this where a lot of unnecessary money is spent and you still hea
